Gun stolen from Hartford Officer’s vehicle

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford Police Officer’s gun was stolen from his personal vehicle on Ansonia Street Wednesday night.

Police say that Officer Hector Casablanca discovered the rear passenger window of his car smashed Wednesday morning. His gun, along with two loaded magazines were gone. Also taken from the car were the officer’s pepper spray and his radio. A neighbor was able to find the radio in the grass.

Deputy Chief Brian Foley says that the department will be conducting an internal investigation into how the gun was stolen.
