In the Bender Kitchen: Marci Izard recipe for feeling good

(WTNH)– Marci Izard joined Ryan in the Bender Kitchen to talk about healthy eating and how certain foods make people feel.

Marci shares her tips on healthy eating, talks about her cookbook “Nourishing Your Whole Self”, and also teaches viewers how to make her creamy stuffed mushrooms.

She categorize her recipes by how they make feel (refreshed, peaceful, comforted, treated & indulged). Marci says the ultimate purpose is to make people more aware and attuned to how food makes you feel.

Background: 

After working at several television stations, Marci started teaching group fitness classes and started a food blog. Now she host a cooking segment and also a mindfulness segment at the Newsfix CW33 station in Houston. She also writes a blog on the Houston Chronicle’s website, and teaches yoga and meditation.
