Racial slur found on traffic box in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The Hamden Police Department is currently searching for whoever sprayed a racial slur in town.

According to police, officers responded to the area of Pine Rock Avenue and Woodin Street for a report of criminal mischief around 8 AM Wednesday. An officer found the racial on a traffic box at the intersection.

The Identification Division responded to the scene and took a picture of the traffic box. The traffic division then removed the slur from the box.
