Elderly woman killed crossing Cheshire street

CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH)– An elderly woman is dead after she was hit by a car in Cheshire Saturday night.

The 90-year-old woman was crossing South Main Street just before 7 p.m. when she was hit by a car. That car was driving north on South Main Street.

A 66-year-old woman was driving. But that driver did stop.

Police have identified the pedestrian as Mildred Masserman, who’s from Cheshire. She died from her injuries.

The Cheshire Police Department Traffic Division is now investigating the accident.

No charges have been filed against the driver. If you have any information about the crash you’re asked to call Cheshire police.
