SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have arrested a man wanted after a standoff in Southington in September.

Police have arrested 46-year-old Stephen Cieszynski of Southington on an arrest warrant and charged him with second-degree breach of peace.

The warrant stems from an incident on September 23 when Cieszynski allegedly became angry with the victim and pulled the victim’s hair. When officers became involved, Cieszynski ran into his home at 108 Atwater Street, causing officers to close part of the road. After nearly seven hours, officers entered the residence, located Cieszynski, and reopened the road. Cieszynski was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Cieszynski was held on a $50,000 bond and is due back in court on October 27.
