Police investigate shooting in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are investigating a shooting in Hartford Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. in the area of the Madina Auto Body Shop on Airport Road, near Wethersfield Avenue.  Police say the victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to Hartford Hospital.

There is no word on what caused the shooting but police say drugs are involved. The victim lives in an RV in the area but has not been identified at this time.

Hartford Major Crimes and the Shooting Task Force are investigating the incident. They have not said if there are any suspects.
