Police: Woman calls 911 76 times for non-emergencies

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Middletown say that a local woman has been issued a summons for Misuse of Emergency 911 system for calling 911 76 times since March.

Michelle Davis allegedly called 911 on her house phone on October 3, and told dispatch that she could not find her cell phone. Officers responded to the home on East Main Street. Police say an intoxicated Davis answered the door and told the two officers that she had found her cell phone and that she was “all set.” When the officers told her that she can’t call 911 just to find her cell phone, she responded by saying “Whatever.”

She will be responding to her summons on October 16 at Middletown Court.
