Suspicious car in Southington

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two children on Silo Drive in Southington were approached by a suspicious woman driving a black BMW.

The Southington Police Department tells us that at approximately 7:11 p.m. Sunday, they received a report of suspicious activity on Silo Drive in Southington. Upon investigation, police discovered that the driver of a black BMW had exited her car, and began to approach 2 children from a distance of roughly 80 feet. Following them, she said things like, “Come here,” “Don’t be afraid,” and “Please.”  She opened her car door as an invitation.

The standing description of the suspect is a white female with curly white or blonde hair, thin and roughly 5 feet tall, wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt.

Police were unable to find any such woman or car in their canvas of the neighborhood. State police are continuing to investigate this incident.
