Two arrested on drug and burglary charges

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH) – An investigation into several burglaries in Thompson, Woodstock, Putnam and Killingly has landed two people behind bars.

Police arrested 38-year-old Douglas Tracey and 29-year-old Catherine Edwards on charges that include possession heroin, burglary, forgery and larceny. State troopers opened their investigation after getting word of break ins at homes, out building, motor vehicles and residences of disabled elderly residents.

Several leads brought the police to a nearby wooded area, where the K-9 unit was instrumental in locating the two suspects.

Police say they found many of the stolen items and heroin when they made the arrests. Both suspects are being held on bond.
