WESTPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A therapeutic day school based in Westport is moving to a new state-of-the-art academic building in Wilton.
Westport Day School officials say their private, co-ed school for children with internalizing disorders will have a new campus in Wilton. The Westport Day School works with students from kindergarten to twelfth grade.
Officials say internalizing disorders like anxiety or depression can make traditional learning overwhelming for sensitive students. The fast-paced setting can often make students uncomfortable. However, the Westport Day School offers an alternative educational setting, with small classes and a soothing environment all while being academically challenging.
The school’s new space sprawls over 10,000 square feet. Light-filled, airy classrooms along with a library and a yoga studio will help students soar.
