Political signs stolen in Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are searching for someone who has been stealing political signs in Stratford.

Stratford police say that on October 15, 21, and 24, they received reports of political signs being stolen from in front of the Vitamin Shack at 1615 Main Street. Police say three or more signs were stolen in each incident.

Officers say the perpetrators are targeting the “Vote Yes,” “Rich Fredette for Zoning,” and “Barnaby for Council” signs. An unidentified white male has been seen taking the signs in some of the thefts. Police are not sure if this is the suspect for each incident. A car and possibly a pickup truck have been used during the thefts.

Stratford police are asking for help in finding the person(s) responsible. If you have any information, you are asked to call police at (203)385-4143. You can also call the anonymous tip-line at (203)375-8477(TIPS).
