WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A West Hartford school bus was hit by pellets as it was leaving a school parking lot on Friday.
West Hartford police say they were called to the Norfeldt Elementary School on Friday for a report of a BB being shot at a school bus. No one was injured in this incident.
When police arrived to the school, the driver told them he heard a popping sound as he was pulling out of the school parking lot. He said he stopped the bus and noticed a passenger side window was broken.
Officers checked the area and saw a juvenile who later admitted he had been firing a pellet gun at a stump. He told police that he did not aim at the bus and did not know any of the pellets hit the bus. Police determined the action was unintentional. The boy was referred to the Juvenile Review Board as a result of the investigation.
