BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Two men accused of killing a man and wounding three teenagers outside a Bridgeport housing complex two years ago have been convicted.
The Connecticut Post reports a jury found 24-year-old Raashon “Red Dreads” Jackson and 20-year-old Roderick “Little Ricky” Rogers guilty Monday of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and assault.
Police said the men were leaders of the Ave Set gang and at the center of a longstanding clash with another gang that operates out of the Trumbull Gardens housing complex.
Police said the men fired into a crowd outside the housing project on Sept. 10, 2013, killing 26-year-old LaChristopher “50” Pettway and injuring 19-year-old Aijahlon “Diggy” Tisdale along with two 15-year-olds.
The men face more than 100 years in prison each at their Dec. 18 sentencing.
