1 dead after being hit by car on Berlin Turnpike

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — One person is dead after being hit by a car in Berlin Thursday night.

Berlin police were called to the area of 1376 Berlin Turnpike just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a car versus pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to Hartford Hospital where they died. The person’s identity has not yet been released.

The occupants of the car were not injured.

Police are still investigating this crash. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this crash is asked to call police at (860)828-7080.
