Police search for suspect in Subway robbery

SEYMOUR, Conn. (WTNH) — Seymour police are on the lookout for a suspect from a robbery at Subway on Derby Avenue Wednesday evening.

At roughly 6:30 p.m., employees at the Subway located at 850 Derby Avenue in Seymour contacted police via 9-1-1. According to their reports, the suspect entered the restaurant and, approaching employees, threatened them. He did not show a firearm, however implied a weapon. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Through descriptions provided by employees, police have rendered a description of a black male in his mid-20s, around 5’10”, medium build, wearing a black hoodie-style jacket and black pants.

Detectives and officers, as well as a police canine, searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect. Seymour detectives encourage anyone with any information pertaining to this incident to contact them at (203) 881-7638.
