Man injured after car strikes tree in Haddam

HADDAM, Conn. (WTNH) — One person was taken to the hospital after losing control of his car and crashing into a tree in Haddam on Friday night.

Haddam volunteer firefighters were called to Killingworth Road at 11:45 p.m. Friday for a car accident. When they arrived, they learned the driver lost control of his car and struck a tree.

Firefighters and EMTs removed the driver from his car and transported him to Hartford Hospital. There is no word on the extent of his injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation by state police.
