BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Four men are in jail after Bridgeport Police arrested them on gun charges Saturday night.
Police have arrested 26-year-old Julius Sanders, 27-year-old Abdirahman Abdi, 27-year-old Bile Nur Warsame, and 26-year-old Justin Sanders and charged them with criminal possession of a firearm and weapons in a motor vehicle. Julius Sanders also faces a reckless driving charge.
Investigators say they received a call around 6:00 p.m. Saturday saying a man had opened the trunk of a car and took out a firearm. The man then tucked the weapon into his waistband and walked toward an adult establishment located near the corner of Knowlton St. and William St.
That same man was later seen with three others in a white Ford Focus racing down the street with its headlights off.
Police followed the car and promptly arrested the four men inside. Police were able to locate the firearm inside the vehicle. Abdirahman Abdi was found to have two warrants: one from the Connecticut State Police, and one from the Bridgeport Police Department.
The bond for all four men is set at $75,000. No word on when they will appear in court.
