NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) is helping women and families understand the best insurance options for them and how to enroll in new health care coverage during open enrollment.
Planned Parenthood of Southern New England is offering Connecticut residents private appointments with Enrollment Specialists who can help them understand how the insurance works and what the most cost-effective plan is based on their needs. This way, people can take advantage of the three-month open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act which runs through January 31st, 2016.
PPSNE officials say they want to help women and their families learn how to pick the right insurance, especially as right insurance protects them in case they get sick or have a medical emergency. Officials also say the Affordable Care Act has already helped over 48 million women get fully covered women’s health services, including birth control, well-woman exams, cancer screenings, and mammograms for women over 40 without out-of-pocket expenses.
To make an appointment to enroll in the Affordable Care Act, call Planned Parenthood Outreach & Enrollment Specialists at (203) 285-8325.
