Lobster boat burns and sinks in Stonington

STONINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – State environmental officials in had to clean up a diesel fuel spill in Stonington on Wednesday, after a lobster boat caught fire and sank.  The fire was reported around 4:45 a.m. at the town docks.  No one was hurt.  The boat had a 400 gallon diesel fuel tank, and state officials aren’t sure how much fuel was on board.  Clean up crews from DEEP came in with containment boom to keep the leaked diesel from spreading.  Officials still aren’t sure what start the fire on the boat.
