DALLAS (WTNH/AP) – Several airplanes in the Dallas area are now added to the list of aircraft that have been targets of people on the ground armed with laser pointers.

The Federal Aviation Administration said pilots on three different aircraft reported laser beams being pointed in their direction on Wednesday night.

The pilots reported to the FAA that the laser beams appeared to come from an area about 11 miles southeast of Dallas.

All of the airplanes were flying at about 3,000 to 4,000 feet as they prepared to land at Dallas Love Field when they reported seeing the lasers.

Those airplanes included a Southwest Airlines plane, a Virgin America plane and a private business jet.
