DARIEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police arrested two men on weapon charges after a suspicious incident in Darien on Thursday.
Troopers were dispatched to a “suspicious incident” on I-95 near Exit 10 just after 4 a.m. Thursday where occupants in a car were reported to be firing a gun.
Responding Troopers found the car pulled over by Stamford police. Police searched the car and found a gun. The driver was identified by his Connecticut driver’s license as 34-year-old Horace Wright of Stamford and the passenger was identified by his Jamaican identification card as 26-year-old Anta Tummings.
Both Wright and Tummings were arrested and charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, weapons in a motor vehicle, second-degree breach of peace, and carrying a pistol without a permit. Wright was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
Wright is being held on a $50,000 bond and Tummings is being held on a $150,000 bond.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
