Storrs man killed after hitting tree in Mansfield

MANSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A man from Storrs was killed after he hit a large tree on Route 195 in the town of Mansfield.

Officials say 47-year-old John Trudeau lost control of his vehicle at 412 Storrs Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Connecticut State Police aren’t sure how Trudeau ran his car off the road. He died at the scene from the injuries he suffered from the crash.

The Mansfield Fire Department were on scene with Connecticut State Police to help conduct the investigation. There were no other passengers in the car.
