WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – A Winsted condominium association property manager is accused of ripping off tenants.
Police arrested Joanne Fournier of Watertown on Wednesday. They say she embezzled over $50,000 from the condominium she was managing.
Fournier is accused of writing checks to contractors using condo funds. Police say she then forged the contractors’ signature and depositing the checks into her own account.
Fournier wrote over 40 checks between 2011 and 2014. She’s facing several charges, including Larceny, Identity Theft and Forgery.
She was released after posting a $35,000 bond. She’s due back in a Waterbury court on November 24.
