EAST LYME, Conn. (WTNH) — Stonington police confirm to News 8 that a body found at Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme is that of a Stonington woman that has been missing since November 12th.
Stonington police Captain Todd Olson said the body located is that of 48-year-old Christine McGugan. According to Olson, there are no signs of foul play.

The body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine the official cause of death. Stonington officials said they are now concentrating on helping the McGugan family.
Police said McGugan’s body was found in the park less than a mile from where her Chevy Tahoe was found Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Bride Brook Rehabilitation Center. That facility is located across Route 156 from the park.
State Police canine units, along with Troopers, Stonington officers, and Amtrak police were all involved in the search for the mother of three.
Police are continuing their investigation.
