Man Arrested in July Murder Case

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police say they arrested an East Hartford man for shooting and killing an Andover man earlier this year.

Police say they charged Michael Fortin yesterday with killing 38-year-old Jason Marchand back on July 3rd.

They say investigators found Marchand in a yard on Lakeside Drive in Andover with gunshot wounds. Marchand was brought to Windham Hospital and died shortly after.

State Police Detectives found Fortin in the parking lot of his apartment on Tolland Street in East Hartford yesterday. He is expected to appear before a judge at Rockville Superior Court today.
