Woman accuses Meriden Police of excessive force

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A Meriden woman claims police used excessive force against her.

Officers were called to Mary Bunch’s home apparently to break up a party.  She says she doesn’t remember what happened next.  But at a news conference held by the NAACP Wednesday the group claimed witnesses saw police slam Bunch onto the pavement.

Witnesses say the attack was unprovoked.  Bunch says all she remembers is waking up at the Meriden police station with her mouth bleeding and a swollen eye.
