Bomb threat evacuates Milford businesses

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Several buildings were evacuated in Milford Thursday morning after a bomb threat was called in.

Police say Colonial Coatings, at 66 Erna Avenue, received a single call for a bomb threat around 10:00 a.m. The caller stated that a bomb was in the building.

Police responded to the scene and Colonial Coatings, along with about four to five other businesses in the area. The buildings were evacuated as a precaution. Erna Avenue was closed for the investigation, but was declared safe and reopened by 12:30 p.m.
