WOLCOTT, Conn. (WTNH) — Wolcott police have arrested a woman during a prostitution sting on Thursday.

Wolcott police say they set up a sting operation involving prostitution that was happening at the American Inn and Suites at 1273 Wolcott Road. As a result of the sting, police arrested 26-year-old Brandy Milone. Milone’s last known address was listed as a motel on South Main Street in Waterbury.

Police say they made an arrangement to meet with the suspect, through a website called BackPages where Milone had been advertising her services.

On Thursday morning, an undercover officer met with Milone inside a hotel room where she offered him sex for money. She was immediately arrested. Police say they also found 1.2 grams of heroin in the room.

Milone is charged with prostitution and possession of narcotics. Police then learned there was an outstanding failure to appear warrant for Milone from a past prostitution arrest.

Milone is being held on $10,000 bond for Thursday’s arrest, as well as a $20,000 bond for the outstanding warrant.
