Hamden, Conn. (WTNH)- Quinnipiac University students came out in droves to support the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris last night. In fact, so many people flocked to the vigil on the Hamden campus organizers ran out of candles.

It was an especially impressive turnout considering that Quinnipiac doesn’t even have a French department. The school’s chaplain told News 8 that the turnout represented power in the face of evil.

Quinnipiac says administrators have been in touch with their students who are either studying abroad in France or traveling through the country and everyone is accounted for and safe.
