Rocky Hill police searching for Webster Bank robbery suspect

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — Rocky Hill police are looking for a man who robbed a Webster Bank on Thursday afternoon.

Rocky Hill police were called to the Webster Bank at 377 Cromwell Avenue at 1:11 p.m. Thursday for a panic alarm. When they arrived, officers learned a robbery occurred and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a 5’10” to 6’0″ tall, medium-skinned, white man in his 30s. He had dark brown hair, brown eyes, scruffy facial hair, a slight goatee, and looked to weigh approximately 230-2350 pounds. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black overcoat, black folding golf cap, blue jeans, a grey shirt, a white t-shirt, and possibly dress shoes.

Police say upon entering the bank, the suspect went to the counter where he reached over a customer and took an undetermined amount of money from that transaction.

No weapon was shown or implied.
