Tech Tuesday: An APPetizing Twist on Thanksgiving Decor

(WTNH) — For the tech savvy, we couldn’t let a holiday pass without letting you know which apps could make your Thanksgiving easier! Director of Audience Development here at News8, Vanessa Wojtusiak, sat down with Teresa to discuss various apps that are more than useful for this upcoming Thanksgiving.

 

1) AnyList

This app puts everything together by create shopping lists. It can even manage a recipe by making sure you have every ingredient you need to cook. Sending a relative to the store? You can share shopping lists as well.

 

2) Buzzfeed

Believe it or not, Buzzfeed is more than fun quizzes and entertaining lists. They actually have a great food section with really creative recipes as well as a DIY section.

 

3) Gojee

Gojee has specialized apps for holidays as well as one generic app. This app collects some of the best recipes from bloggers around the world. The Thanksgiving dishes are sorted into popular categories like mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing and sides.

 

4) AllRecipes

Search for specific dishes and save them to your lists. A cool feature is the “Dinner Spinner” – just select your dish type, ingredients and how quickly you’d like to have the meal ready and offers suggestions

 

5) Pinterest

This app is always a fan favorite offering cute desserts and unique dishes just by simply searching a few keywords. Pin recipes and other search results on various boards or folders to reference them for later!
