West Hartford Robbery Suspect Seen on Surveillance

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – West Hartford Police are looking for this man who they say is responsible for a violent armed robbery. It happened at the House of Tobacco, 1253 New Britain Ave, on November 21st.

Police say the armed suspect first approached the employee asking for change for a bill. Once the cash register was open, police say the crook took out a black handgun and struck the employee in the face. Then they say the suspect took cash out of the drawer. As he was leaving the store, police say a second suspect entered and robbed a customer in the store demanding his wallet.

Police say the two suspects left the store together in a dark colored vehicle, possibly an SUV. The armed suspect is the one seen on surveillance and is described as having a distinctive tattoo under his left eye.
