Hundreds attend Turkey Dip 2015 to raise money for MDA

THOMPSON, Conn. (WTNH) — Hundreds gathered at the Quaddick State Park in Thompson on Thursday morning for the 39th Annual Turkey Dip.

Participants showed up 8 a.m. Thursday to jump in the lake to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. A costume competition kicked off the event, which is now in its 39th year.

News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons made the jump for his 19th year.

Participants expect to raise around $20,000 at this year’s Turkey Dip.
