Arrest made for Thanksgiving stabbing

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH)  –  Willimantic Police have made an arrest in connection with the Thanksgiving morning stabbing that sent a man to the hospital.

30 year old Luis Sanchez is charged with assault 1st, robbery 1st, and criminal act while on bond.

According to Police they were called to a Summit Street home shortly after 9 a.m. where a 51 year old man was found with stab wounds to the neck and abdomen.   The victim, who is not being identified, is hospitalized in stable condition and his wounds are not considered life threatening.

Police say the stabbing is the result of a domestic dispute.
