Decorate a Christmas Tree for a Cause

(WTNH) — For more than twenty years, the Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut has been providing a “temporary home away from home” for families of children being treated at nearby hospitals and healthcare facilities.  Kelsey Nawaf joined Ryan and Teresa to discuss their annual Trees of Hope Event.

This year marks the 26th year the trees of hope event and it will run from Dec. 5 to Dec. 13th at Maritime Center located at 555 long wharf drive in New Haven and is open to the public daily 10am-5pm.

There are over 120 fully decorated trees and holiday displays donated by the community to be raffled off on the very last day of the event. You can buy raffle tickets for only $1.00 and can be purchased onsite. Also, the Holiday boutique will be open daily at the event as well as weekend visits from Santa and live musical performances.

All proceeds benefit the families and children of the Ronald McDonald House of CT. There are many wonderful themes and great gifts this year, you don’t want to miss it!
