New Haven/Milford named “Laziest City in Connecticut”

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) –  A new study dubs the New Haven/Milford area the “Laziest City in Connecticut.”

The website says it analyzed the level of physical activity in each metro area in the state, along with data on the obesity rate and days people felt “physically unhealthy.”

According to the study 75.9% of the people in the New Haven/Milford metro area report getting physical activity; the state average is 78.3%.  In that same area 24.1% call themselves “physically inactive,” the national average is 27%.

The obesity rate in the metro area is 26.9% compared to the statewide average of 24.4%.
