Trumbull man injured in crash on Thanksgiving dies

TRUMBULL, Conn. (AP) — A 21-year-old Trumbull man involved in a Thanksgiving Day traffic crash has died.

A spokeswoman for St. Vincent’s Medical Center told The Connecticut Post on Wednesday that Anthony Teixeira died at the hospital.

Trumbull police said previously that he had sustained life-threatening head injuries.

The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. last Thursday on Beardsley Parkway.

Four other people in the vehicle suffered scrapes, cuts and broken bones not considered life-threatening.

A Gofundme page set up to raise funeral expenses for Teixeira said he was visiting home for the holiday and reconnecting with lifelong friends.
