Traffic Stop Yields One Pound of Pot

WILLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – State Troopers making a routine traffic stop ended up busting two guys with a pound of pot in tow.

It happened in December 3, around 4 p.m. when a Trooper saw the car speeding and when it didn’t signal changing lanes on I-84, he pulled the car over. The officer noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the car. That led to an on-scene investigation and the officer discovered a pound of marijuana in the car. Both the driver and passenger were arrested.

28-year-old Manuel Torres of Worcester, MA and 30-year-old Michael Rodriguez of Worcester, MA were both charged with possession charges and intent to sell.
