GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — The hard work and dedication of two librarians in Connecticut hasn’t gone unnoticed and they’ve hit a five thousand dollar jackpot for it, all thanks to the “I love my librarian award.”

Elizabeth Rumery of the University of Connecticut in Groton, was honored for her work with low-income residents. Diane Brown of the New Haven free public library also received recognition.

The American Library Association and Carnegie Corporation of New York honored ten people with the award and cash prize.
