Water restored to Bristol residents following main break

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH)  –  A water main break on East Road in Bristol has been repaired and water service has been restored to customers.

According to the Bristol Water Department, a water main in the area of 190 East Road broke shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday.  Some customers on East Road between Greystone to Hull lost service due to the break after the water company closed valves to prevent the water from flowing so repairs could be made.

The cause of the water main break is unknown.
