Hartford man hit by car dies from injuries

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A Hartford man has died from his injuries after he was hit by a car on Friday night.

Police say 56-year-old Juan Ramos Jr. of Hartford was pronounced dead by St. Francis Hospital medical staff on Saturday.

On Friday, Ramos was walking in the area of North Chapel Street and Ann Uccello Street when he was hit by car just before 11p.m.  He was taken to St. Francis Hospital for critical injuries, where he died the next day.

The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police. The incident remains under investigation.
