More information:

Puraderma LLC began in early 2015 when Boris Sotnikov decided to start making soap for himself and his family. During this time, his parents had been diagnosed with illnesses that left Boris quite concerned about the harmful chemicals which were going on and in their bodies. He therefore took to creating his own skin care products, with great attention to the ingredients incorporated. While creating these soaps and lotions which were tailored to his family’s skin needs, Boris became inspired to bring this same personalized skin care concept to the public. At this point, he decided to start up a shop in Williamsburg selling handmade, organic soaps but without the customization process, just as a way to garner feedback on the concept before putting it into place.

With enough interest in the Create Your Own skin care process, Boris reached out to scientist and former classmate, Jennifer Sun, in early September 2015. Her family is affected by problematic skin conditions like eczema, so she had a deep interest in helping to advance this idea of customizable soaps. Together, they designed and tested the Puraderma Process, ultimately bringing it to market that very month, so that the public could experience this revolutionary approach to skin care. Puraderma LLC has had great success in Connecticut artisan pop-up shops, and will be thinking of appearing in some markets in New Jersey in 2016, as well.
