State Police Search for East Granby Smash & Grab Suspect

EAST GRANBY, Conn. (WTNH)- State Police are searching for the man they say broke into a gas station, with a laundry basket, filled it with cigarettes, cigars and lighters and then took off.
It happened at the Grab N Go Food Court at the Airport 66 gas station on Rainbow Road in East Granby, around 3:30AM this morning.
Police say a worker heard the glass break, and immediately ran and hid, while the suspect came into the store, loading a laundry basket with Newport and Camel cigarettes, Munny Maker cigars, Black and Mild cigars, and disposable lighters. Police say the suspect took off in a white, 4-door, minivan type car.
