WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) Some airline passengers got to cash-in after speaking out on social media.

Southwest Airlines started surprising some flyers with gift cards, free flights and other perks after they complained about an experience on another airline.  Some of the complaints had to do with paying fees for things like baggage or changing a ticket.

Southwest is the only major U.S. airline that allows passengers to check up to two bags for free.  They also don’t charge extra fees for changing your ticket.

In addition to the perks, they also started a #FeesDontFly campaign on Twitter to make more people aware of their business model.
