Police identify Naugtauck construction worker killed in accident

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — The name of the construction worker killed in a work-related accident Wednesday has been released by police.

32-year-old Luis Albaro Ortega-Ortega was the man killed when he somehow became trapped by the excavator he was operating and sustained injuries to his upper torso. He was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Ortega was working for Valley Tree Landscaping Services LLC. He was removing trees in the Millville Avenue parking lot at the time of the accident.

Police say the investigation into Ortega’s death is ongoing.
