Malloy heads to Iowa to back Clinton presidential campaign

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is heading to Iowa to campaign for Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

The Hartford Courant reports ( ) that a spokesman for the state Democratic Party confirmed the trip Thursday.

Malloy, who is chairman of the national Democratic Governors Association, will be at a debate watch party at a Clinton campaign office in Waterloo, Iowa, this weekend.

Malloy has traveled twice to New Hampshire in support of Clinton.

The governor endorsed the former secretary of state in June.
