Vigil Friday for young girls killed in Bristol crash

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — A vigil will be held Friday evening for two young girls killed in an accident in Bristol.

Police say 7-year-old Veronica Martinez, and 4-year-old Yvette Martinez, were in the backseat of their mother’s car when a mini-van crossed the double yellow line and struck them head on.

The vigil will take place Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at Casey Field on Lakeview Avenue. Funeral arrangements for the children have not yet been announced.
