(WTNH) – Sleep for new parents can seem like a faraway fantasy. However there is help! Ingrid Prueher, also known as the Baby Sleep Whisperer, stopped in to the Dufour household to offer her expertise.
Ingrid recommends 3 naps throughout the day that are no less than an hour each. They should be spaced out at most 2 hours in between each nap.
3 hours after your baby’s final nap of the day should be his or her bedtime.
Putting your baby in his or her crib before they fall asleep is critical because they expect to wake up the same place they fall asleep.
Ingrid also says to set the sleepy-time mood and wind down for nap time 15 minutes prior. The routine can include a sound machine, a clean diaper, and a dim room.
