NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH)– Two people were arrested on several drugs charges after a police raid in a Naugatuck home Wednesday.

Police say they executed a search and seizure warrant after an investigation in to one of the residents selling both prescription and illegal narcotics in and around the home and at a school nearby.

During the raid, police seized $3,670 in cash, 29 grams of cocaine, 160.5 grams of marijuana, 90 Xanax pills, 6.5 Oxycontin pills, 4 tabs of LSD, a facsimile firearm, a machete, drug packaging and paraphernalia, and a safe where many of these items were kept.

Police say the warrant was served during the day on December 16th so that a 9-year-old autistic child who lives in the home wouldn’t be present when officers arrived. However, DCF was on scene to manage the situation regarding the child.

Two adults were arrested, one regarding the drug sales and the other for charges related to the incident. Their identities and list of charges have not been released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
