Naugatuck PD arrested ‘jolly fat fellow caught burglarizing homes’

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — In the name of holiday fun, Naugatuck police released a video of Santa Claus being ‘interrogated’ at the department.

It was a mock video where officers ‘arrested’ the jolly fat fellow after they caught him breaking into homes and stealing cookies.

He was accused of burglary and animal cruelty for leaving his reindeer on rooftops.

Santa told officers, “I fill the stockings with care and I leave the presents underneath the tree, then I eat the cookies and drink the milk and go home or to the next house.”

Officers quipped, “That’s burglary.”

Santa replies, “The cookies were left for me though!”

In the mock-video police realize they nab the real Santa and he was set free after listing all the presents the officers asked for in Santa letters they sent as children.
